The Senior Process Architect will lead system redesign initiatives in the organization, promoting operational excellence and driving strategic improvement projects. This role will play a critical part in transforming our operational efficiency and delivering significant improvements in patient care quality and organizational performance. This advanced-level candidate will display recognized leadership, superior organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the executive team to complete facility projects on time and within expectations. The scope of activities for the Senior Process Architect includes fostering collaborative customer relationships, implementing lean design principles, developing business solutions with stakeholders, managing performance improvement projects integration, and analyzing data obtained to ensure accurate and actionable conclusions. This role will also spearhead innovative initiatives and lead change management efforts to ensure the successful adoption of new processes and technologies. The Senior Process Architect will act as the senior member of the team, providing mentorship and professional development to junior process architects, thereby fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Essential Duties:
- Responsible for creating detailed project plans with department leadership (Directors, A.A, Executives, Chiefs) and ensuring that all projects are completed within scope, including creating, revising, and updating project charters and project plans.
- Ensures all procedures meet regulatory standards and hospital policies.
- Gathers and analyzes data to prepare clear, comprehensive reports for hospital leadership, and develops dashboards to track key performance indicators.
- Leads initiatives to redesign hospital processes, aiming to improve efficiency and reduce costs by implementing innovative solutions.
- Works with different departments to resolve resource-related issues and ensures smooth communication between all project stakeholders.
- Analyzes financial data to support decision-making for hospital investments and strategic initiatives, ensuring they are cost-effective.
- Provides mentorship and professional development to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School or equivalent
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3 years of combined education/experience as a substitute for minimum experience; previous performance improvement experience and knowledge of lean principles, tools, and techniques.
- Strategic planning and critical thinking skills for problem-solving and identification of solutions.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in MHA or MBA.
- Certification - Job Relevant Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) - If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
The annual base salary range for this position is $81,120.00 - $133,010.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
