CFIP is excited to welcome a new member to the Team. The Vice President of Business Development will assist in our capital-raising efforts by identifying and procuring new investor relationships. This position involves developing and executing a comprehensive institutional sale and marketing strategy to drive business growth and meet our Firm’s objectives. As part of a relatively small and rapidly growing Firm, this position offers high visibility to senior management and the opportunity to significantly impact the Firm’s processes and procedures.

Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
· Working with Head of Client Solutions and other team members, The Vice President of Business Development will develop and implement a comprehensive institutional sales and marketing strategy that aligns with the Firm's overall business objectives.
· Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, including consultants, pension funds, public retirement plans, insurance companies, endowments, and other institutional clients.
· Manage and grow the Firm's institutional client base, working closely with the investment and client services teams to ensure that we meet our clients' needs.
· Proactively Identify and pursue new business opportunities with institutional clients, including developing new investment solutions and expanding into new markets.
· Work closely with the investment team to understand and communicate the Firm's investment strategies and performance to institutional clients.
· Represent the Firm at industry events and conferences and develop a strong network of industry contacts.
· Maintain a keen awareness of market trends and regulatory developments that may impact the Firm's business and our clients' investment decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in institutional sales or business development, with a proven track record of success in the investment management industry.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of credit investing and the institutional investment landscape.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex investment strategies to institutional clients.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and industry contacts.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with investment and client services teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Compensation:
- Base salary + discretionary bonus, contingent on experience
- Benefits + 401(k)
