As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and help drive our financial success.
Position Summary: The CFO will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for the financial planning, management, and strategic direction of the company. This role requires a hands-on approach to financial operations, including overseeing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation or logistics industry and a strong background in financial leadership for small to mid-sized companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the company's financial strategy, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis to support business growth and profitability.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, payroll, tax planning, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including DOT and FMCSA financial requirements.
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and other financial institutions to ensure optimal financing and cash flow management.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company, such as investments, expansion, and cost control.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement financial controls and processes to safeguard company assets.
- Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term financial goals and strategies.
- Prepare financial presentations for the board of directors and investors.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure effective and efficient financial operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader in a small to mid-sized company, preferably in the trucking, transportation, or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, including GAAP, financial reporting, and budgeting.
- Experience with financial forecasting, modeling, and strategic planning.
- Familiarity with transportation industry regulations, including DOT and FMCSA financial requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
