Zions Bancorporation is currently seeking a data analyst intern to support the Fair Banking Compliance Team and report to the Fair Banking Compliance Manager. The intern will be responsible for assisting in the enhancement of existing analytics and development of new analytics for the program's annual plan.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for other key areas of the Fair Banking Program and conduct analyses related to Fair Lending, UDAAP, and other areas of compliance.
- Assist in the development of a risk identification and measurement program including metrics and reporting.
- Assist to maintain data quality controls and ensure that appropriate data structures are in place.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Science, Economics, or similar at either the bachelor's or master's degree level.
- Experienced in R or Python and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications, primarily Excel, SharePoint, Word, and other database analysis and reporting tools.
- Advanced interpersonal, problem solving, analytical and modeling skills.
- Candidate must have good organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Passionate about social justice and committed to helping historically disadvantaged community access banking and credit services.
- Basic knowledge of financial services principles, theories, and concepts, as well as understand the processes related to internal controls including audit and monitoring reviews.
- Basic understanding of banking regulations such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA) and Fair Housing Act (FHA).
- Experience using Git and/or Azure DevOps.
