Director, Tax - US - Sparks, MD
The Blueprint (Role Profile)
Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller & Treasurer, the Director of Tax will have the primary responsibility for all aspects of federal, state, international, local, and indirect taxes. This is a cross functional position that will work closely with senior management as well as various internal finance departments. Successful candidates will have proven leadership and process development experience as well as excellent technical skills. We are open to relocating this new hire to any of our office locations!

The Build (Responsibilities)
- Continued maintenance and enhancement of an efficient global tax structure.
- Oversight of all income tax accounting in accordance with ASC 740 and statutory requirements.
- Oversight of all tax compliance, including federal, state, international, local, and indirect taxes.
- Oversight of the annual external US financial tax audit.
- Management of transfer price policies and practices as well as oversight of intercompany agreements.
- Implement tax policy and ensure compliance.
- Support all aspects of business development efforts.
- Provide tax advice on the following: financial and tax audits, tax incentives, shareholder activity, income tax planning.
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- Requires BA or BS in Accounting, master's degree and/or CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 10+ years' experience in corporate income tax, focused on accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.
- Proven experience in tax strategy, planning, and compliance (with a focus on the US Taxation of Domestic and International corporations and transactions).
- Project management skills that include utilizing internal resources as well as consultants.
- Adapts well to a continually changing environment.
- Humble, true collaborator that brings out the best in others with solid leadership and people skills.
- Knowledge of OneSource Income Tax preferred; technical skills required for supporting the continuing development of computerized tax systems.
- Travel, including international, may be required (approximately 10%).
