The Role
We’re looking for a Business Analyst, Insurance Consulting who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant, you will analyze our insurance clients' business and technology challenges and build creative solutions to drive transformation. You will be responsible for participating in the requirements analysis process, developing strong working relationships with clients and team members, and building industry and domain expertise.
Responsibilities
- Strong documentation capability and adept to design process flows depicting the future state based on current pain points.
- Review the quality of documented stories and assess the Acceptance criteria to ensure they meet the guidelines.
- Work with the BA team and Tech Leads to ensure requirements are clear.
- Ensure ownership of the demo of the system to business users during Sprint demo and UAT.
- Work with the technical team to triage defects and assist in root cause analysis.
- Support the account team to publish reports to keep Cognizant leadership informed.
- Generate new ideas to improve processes.
Qualifications
- Around 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, including demonstrated experience in business and functional requirements elicitation, translation, and documentation.
- Policy systems admin experience with P&C commercial lines and middle market segment.
- Consulting skills, including effective communication, expectation management, and results delivery.
- Proven ability to be a 'servant leader' in a non-hierarchical environment, adopting an Agile attitude.
- Personal leadership and a desire to create a culture that enables exceptional outcomes; embodying Cognizant’s Core Values.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field.
- Background in Management Education - Master’s degree preferred.

Salary And Other Compensation
Applications will be accepted until 10/31/2024. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
