- Salary range is $154,950 - $159,950 depending on experience.
Chief Financial Officer Position Summary
The Chief Financial Officer will work full-time in Leavenworth. This is a chief executive level position with broad responsibility and accountability for the Center’s fiscal operations. Advise management team and Governing Board on fiscal control and deficit prevention. Direct the preparation of all fiscal reporting, such as cost accounting, budgets, regulatory agency requests, and government reports including tax reports. Safeguard the assets of the Center. The CFO plays an integral role in spotting trends to set the course for future direction of the center.
Chief Financial Officer Primary Responsibilities:
- Make and file all financial and operational reports required by the State of Kansas, the Federal Government, the Governing Board, or the Chief Executive Officer.
- Develop and implement a budget development process and coordinate a recommendation with the Chief Executive Officer and Governing Board Finance Committee to the full Board on an annual basis.
- Prepare fiscal portions of applications for State, Federal, and private grants.
- Assist the Chief Executive Officer and Governing Board President in the preparation of all Governing Board meeting agendas.
- Maintain an office of record for all minutes, reports, records, correspondence, and financial transactions for the financial/accounting department.
Chief Financial Officer Qualifications/Experience
EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:
Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.
Preferred: Master’s degree in business, finance, business administration or related degree from an accredited university.
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Five years of relevant experience in a senior management or accountant position.
Preferred: one year experience in fiscal management in a healthcare setting and/or certification as a public accountant (CPA) is preferred.
