Your Future Team
We are looking for a Director of Projects who is excited to work directly with Hightower leadership and drive the execution of the firm’s strategy. We are looking for an experienced candidate with a collaborative approach to driving deliverables – frequently having to work with multiple partners, with a passion to learn, and performs at a high level under variable workloads. As a growing company, opportunities for internal growth and career development are plentiful. You will be reporting to the Head of the Program Management Office.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define project objectives, strategies, and resource capacity, and timelines.
- Effectively communicate to a wide range of stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and any risks, actions, issues, and/or decisions that need to be addressed.
- Develop and implement change management strategies, identify potential challenges, develop mitigation plans, and support communication efforts to minimize disruption and maintain engagement for all “clients” of a project.
- Leverage key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress and measure success. Regularly report on project status, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Identify lessons learned and best practices from projects and leverage them to improve future processes.
- Ensure compliance with Hightower project management standards and best practices including regular project reviews and audits to ensure adherence to PMO standards.
- Support the strategic development of the PMO. Working directly with the Executive Director to develop and implement improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Project management experience, or at minimum, strong understanding of business processes, organizational dynamics, and change management principles.
- 10+ years of experience in managing complex projects, ideally within a mergers and acquisitions context.
- Experience in the financial services industry, particularly the RIA space preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional corporate teams and advisor teams.
