Would you want to be on the cutting edge of renovating the child welfare system in Illinois? This newly created position will lead the charge in changing how child welfare is implemented in Illinois.
As the Program Director, you will oversee LSSI's very successful Therapeutic Foster Care program as it moves out of the pilot stage and into established programming, as well as implementing the redesigned child welfare program called Families Together. Three highly acclaimed, evidence-based interventions are the basis of the programs, including Treatment Foster Care of Oregon (TFCO), the KEEP Foster Parent Training program, and the parent training model, Generations PMTO, as well as a true team-based approach for all work with families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engages in strategic planning, goal setting, and outcome analysis and develops procedures, systems, and strategies that enhance the goals of the programs. Implements the evidence-based intervention models, ensuring all components are in place and replicated with fidelity.
- Provides direct supervision, training, coaching, review, and evaluation for Team Leaders and other assigned staff.
- Promotes strong working relationships with DCFS, intervention developers, community organizations, churches, and other providers.
- Solves problems using creativity and a sense of humor with an understanding of implementation science and change management.
- Transforms the lives of children and families.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Social Work or related human services field and 5 years supervisory experience.
- Clinical licensure (LCSW/LCPC) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate teams of professionals implementing intervention models and providing services using a team approach.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Valid Illinois driver's license and proof of automobile liability insurance required. Access to transportation for meetings, visits, and to transport clients as needed.
- Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS.
