The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Construction Litigation Staff Attorney or Counsel with 4-6 years of commercial and complex construction litigation to join our Washington, DC office.
The Day-to-day
As a Staff Attorney/Counsel in the Litigation Department, you’ll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys.
You Have
- 4-6 years’ high-caliber experience with general commercial construction, complex construction projects, and infrastructure projects.
- The ideal candidate will have experience representing owners, contractors, design professionals, and/or sureties in the drafting, negotiating, and administration of contracts as well as domestic litigation; and, will have experience with some of the following construction matters: procurement-related issues, contract administration, risk management, dispute avoidance, claim documentation, equitable adjustments, impact and delay claims, default terminations, change order and extra work disputes, requests for equitable adjustments, payment and performance bond claims, mechanics' liens, prompt payment and conditional payment disputes, construction and design defects, and bid protests.
- Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills, and verbal and written communication skills required.
- Candidate must be admitted to or have the ability to waive into the D.C. Bar.
