We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Onboarding, Account Opening and Entitlements - Product Management to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As the Director of Onboarding, Account Opening and Entitlements - Product Management, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product management process for new client onboarding, account opening, Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes, and entitlement management across our client portal and other applications. This senior-level position will manage multiple senior product managers and play a critical role in ensuring a seamless and secure onboarding experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for onboarding, account opening, and enrollments/entitlements management.
- Develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps that align with business goals and client needs.
- Build a multi-year roadmap to develop a modern and efficient onboarding experience that delights customers and speeds up the account funding process.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including KYC and AML processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance, legal, technology, and operations, to deliver high-quality products.
- Drive the development and implementation of innovative solutions to enhance the client onboarding experience.
- Monitor and analyze product performance, client feedback, and market trends to make data-driven decisions.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of senior product managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Onboarding and Account Opening Product Management Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize the client onboarding journey, ensuring a seamless and efficient process from initial contact through account activation.
- Implement digital solutions for automated KYC and AML checks, reducing manual processes and enhancing compliance.
- Develop workflows and systems to capture and verify client information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Integrate risk assessment tools to identify and mitigate potential fraud and compliance risks.
- Work closely with client service teams to ensure a high-touch onboarding experience tailored to the needs of ultra high net worth clients.
- Enhance digital forms and document submission processes to improve client convenience and reduce friction.
- Collaborate with technology teams to build scalable onboarding platforms that support high volumes of new accounts.
Entitlement Management Product Management Responsibilities:
- Define and implement entitlement management frameworks to control and monitor user access to various applications and services.
- Develop and maintain role-based access control (RBAC) systems to ensure appropriate access levels for different user roles.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce stringent access policies and safeguard sensitive client data.
- Implement self-service capabilities for clients to manage their own entitlements, improving user autonomy and satisfaction.
- Integrate entitlement management systems with the client portal to provide a seamless user experience.
- Monitor and audit access logs to detect and respond to unauthorized access attempts.
- Ensure that entitlement processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, specifically in onboarding, account opening, KYC/AML processes, and entitlement management within a financial institution, preferably a wealth management firm.
- Proven track record of managing and leading high-performing product teams.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to KYC and AML.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with client portal development and integration of entitlement management systems.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
