If so, Related Companies, Luxury team is seeking an experienced Senior General Manager to oversee portfolio of properties in the Chicago area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of property managers and ensuring that the properties are operating at peak efficiency and profitability.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A GENERAL MANAGER
- Hire, train, and manage a team of property managers, ensuring that they are meeting performance standards.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and maximize profits.
- Work with marketing, compliance and leasing teams to ensure that properties are marketed effectively and that occupancy rates are performing to budget.
- Develop and manage budgets for each property, ensuring that expenses are controlled and that revenue targets are met.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to ensure that they are being maintained to the highest standards.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that all properties are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
COMPENSATION
- $95,000 - $115,000 / yearly (depending on experience).
- With an annual bonus that is tied to performance.
Qualifications
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- 3 to 5 years of experience in multifamily portfolio management experience required.
- 2 years experience with HUD Section 8, LIHTC, and/or other affordable housing programs preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets.
- Strong understanding of all applicable federal, state and local laws pertaining to the Multifamily Housing Industry and Employment Law, including but not limited to Fair Housing, ADA & ADAA, Fair Credit Reporting Act and Landlord Tenant Laws.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
- Ability to utilize technology & software to produce reports, marketing materials, track performance, analyze trends, market conditions and forecast opportunities. Highly adaptable to new programs and their applications.
