Position ResponsibilitiesAs the Vice President (“VP”) Modern Workplace – Low-Code Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the development and governance of internal low-code initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and agility across our organization. In this capacity, you will lead a small team dedicated to delivering robust low-code solutions leveraging the Microsoft 365 (“M365”) platform. Success in this role necessitates close collaboration with business and TS stakeholders, along with a comprehensive understanding of our entire technology stack to offer informed recommendations on the use of low-code solutions. Additionally, you will be accountable for the successful implementation and ongoing management of our low-code framework and associated Community of Practice (“CoP”). This framework governs the development and support of low-code solutions by both professional and citizen developers, ensuring proper risk mitigation controls while fostering a culture of innovation. Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, a curious mindset, a commitment to service excellence, and the ability to self-direct and exhibit resourcefulness. Given the role’s interaction with users at all levels, strong verbal and written communication skills are imperative.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead the design, development, and support of M365-based low-code applications for business teams and at the enterprise level.
- Act as the M365 Subject Matter Expert (SME), guiding business and TS partners on how low-code tools can support their processes within the broader technology landscape of the organization, and identifying appropriate use cases for low-code solutions.
- Manage a small team of M365 developers and support engineers responsible for Level 2 helpdesk resolution for existing applications built on the M365 platform, ensuring compliance with existing SLAs.
- Utilize existing agile and DevOps practices to manage work across the team and enhance deployment automation as necessary.
- Stay abreast of evolving technology within M365 and the broader low-code space to provide recommendations for evolving our technology stack where applicable.
- Lead the implementation of a low-code/citizen development framework and corresponding CoP aimed at supporting citizen development while minimizing associated business risk.
- Ensure organizational compliance with the framework and spearhead efforts to adapt as organizational needs evolve.
- Foster cross-functional CoP collaboration by facilitating dialogue, connecting users, and removing barriers for overall CoP success.
- Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, users, and other teams within Technology Solutions.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
- 7+ years in application delivery, with preference given to candidates with Financial Services background.
- 3+ years delivering solutions on the M365 and Power Platform.
- 3+ years of experience in managing diverse teams comprising full-time and contract-based personnel.
- Proven track record of successful application delivery, serving as the primary client interface, with a strong preference for experience in low-code/no-code platforms.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams administration, configuration, and related application development.
- Demonstrated experience in formulating and implementing technology strategies at the enterprise level.
- Proven ability to evaluate user requirements, devise innovative solutions, and influence decision-making processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Strong grasp of Agile and DevOps practices.
