POSITION OVERVIEW
Pallet is the market-leading provider of individual transitional housing, committed to addressing critical societal issues such as homelessness, disaster relief, and refugee support. As we continue to expand, we seek a visionary and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead our efforts in scaling our impact and driving revenue growth. This role is pivotal in shaping our sales strategy, fostering key relationships, and championing our mission.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of Sales will helm a dynamic team of sales representatives, generating and advancing leads, managing performance, and accelerating growth. This leader will articulate and promote our mission, values, and vision, ensuring our sales approach aligns with our social purpose. By leveraging extensive experience in government and business-to-business sales, this role will drive sales execution, influence product development, and collaborate across the executive team to exceed targets and cultivate a collaborative culture.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team.
- Recruit, hire, and train new staff, ensuring they have a drive to succeed.
- Oversee workflow and process development to achieve sales quotas and refine approaches.
- Provide constructive and timely performance feedback, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy:
- Drive revenue growth by crafting and executing effective sales strategies.
- Communicate a compelling narrative about our products and our commitment to societal challenges.
- Develop and refine sales processes to optimize performance and achieve sales targets.
Lead Generation and Sales Execution:
- Lead efforts to generate and qualify leads, ensuring a robust pipeline.
- Implement strategies to penetrate government and business-to-business markets, leveraging experience with RFPs and GSA contracts.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Presentation and RFP Support:
- Present compelling sales proposals, company capabilities, and product offerings to government entities and other stakeholders.
- Utilize expertise in RFP processes to support and refine proposals, ensuring successful bids for government contracts.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years in senior leadership roles overseeing sales in a relevant industry (e.g., manufacturing, construction services).
- Proven success in developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth while effectively communicating the company’s mission and values.
- Strong background in government sales, including comprehensive knowledge of RFP processes and GSA contract management.
- Proficiency in developing and managing sales department budgets, optimizing resource allocation to achieve business objectives.
- Experience in presenting to groups, whether in sales pitches, public speaking engagements, or industry events, effectively conveying the company’s vision and offerings.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making and the ability to leverage technology and analytics to drive insights and improvements.
- Experience building sales teams and aligning marketing for sales support.
- Consistent performance exceeding team quotas.
- Experience refining product market fit.
Bonus Points:
- Experience working in or supporting Disaster Relief business to government sales.
- Exposure to the challenges of homelessness or victims of disaster or relevant experience working with marginalized populations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Routine use of keyboard and phone.
- Occasional requirement to wear safety attire or protective gear when on sites or in the warehouse.
- Primarily indoor work environment, possibly sharing workspace with others.
TRAVEL
- This position requires moderate to extensive travel, both domestic and possibly international, based on business needs.
- Travel estimated at 25%, with potential peaks up to 50%.
- Ability to travel on short notice (less than 48 hours).
LOCATION: This position may be remote, with regular travel to our headquarters in Everett, WA. You have the option to choose to be office based in Everett.

PAY RANGE:
The pay range for this position is Min: $151,092.00 - Mid: $196,420.00 - Max: $241,748.00 plus commission. Compensation package offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location
