Job Description
The Investment Management practice group at Foster Garvey seeks to hire an associate with three to seven years of experience working with institutional investors. The attorney(s) would join a team of well-qualified attorneys and paralegals that provide highly effective and sophisticated counsel on a broad range of traditional and alternative investment transactions to public and private pension funds, high-wealth individuals and family offices, private and public endowments, universities, sovereign entities, and insurance companies.
Our diverse and dedicated team represents many of the country’s largest and most well-established institutional investors. The Investment Management practice is cross-disciplinary, and team members often work with other core practice groups in the firm, resulting in one of the most active investment management practices in the U.S.
The ideal candidate will be able to process large complex documents, have excellent attention to detail, manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously, be a very good communicator and negotiator, and be comfortable working as part of a team or independently.

Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- 3 to 7 years of investment management, investment fund, fund formation, or related experience;
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice law required;
- Strong academic credentials and excellent analytical and writing skills;
- A client-service approach and exceptional communication skills;
- Enthusiasm to work as part of a diverse team or independently;
- The ability to manage significant individual responsibilities;
- The ability to work on and manage multiple projects at one time;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Responsive and professional service.
Salary Range
The annualized salary range for this position is $170,000 to $195,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s relevant experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
