JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary: Manages the flow of all incoming information as it relates to Accounts Payable, which includes coding, scanning, editing, data entry, check processing and receiving approval according to established company policies and procedures and follow up of any outstanding or missing information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Audits invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies, and tracks approvals for payment.
- Compiles and codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
- Analyzes and/or processes vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
- Gathers and analyzes financial data extracted from the general ledger.
- Tracks budget expenses.
- Processes and audits company credit cards and employee expenses.
- Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customer by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
- Answers the phone and assists with other general office tasks such as filing.
- Assists with other projects as needed.
Knowledge/Experience/Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in accounting plus relevant experience.
- Self-motivated and ability to work with little supervision.
- Must be dependable and trustworthy.
- Ability to handle complexity, multiple projects and requests, and short timelines.
- Detail oriented, accurate and excellent record keeping skills.
- Strategic thinker with good judgment, decisiveness, and interpersonal skills.
