About the Role:
Primarily support the Internal Audit Operations team responsible for centralized execution of department governance activities. Work in an agile team to prioritize tasks with flexibility to shift with department priorities. Assigned tasks, project, and audits may report to different supervisors in a matrix team. Compiles reporting for the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, internal department tracking, and to respond to requests from the FDIC, FRB, and State of Oregon. Creates and coordinates Internal Audit project plans and ensures dependencies are considered.
Conducts internal audits and participates in special projects relating to a wide range of bank technology operations, regulatory compliance, risk management, and finance and accounting functions. Performs risk assessments, audits, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing, and technical analyses to independently evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls that are designed to ensure the achievement of management's operating objectives, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and reliability of financial statements and other reporting.
Develops project and communication plans to support department activities and strategic objectives; monitor progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
Maintain performance metrics to evaluate departmental efficiency and effectiveness; analyze trends for variances and improvements.
Attend Audit Committee meetings to accurately record minutes and capture action items, maintain organized records of meeting documentation and correspondence, and effectively track required cadenced discussion items.
Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information to respond to requests from regulatory examiners, external auditors, or other bank departments.
Compiles and maintains audit work papers in conformity with departmental quality standards and guidelines promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
May lead less complex one person audits or special projects; may be assigned as a technical subject matter specialist to assist on audits and special projects.
Keeps the Audit team informed of progress, impediments, and the results of the audit. Assists in producing status reports and other Internal Audit correspondence.
Participates in discussions with audit clients/management regarding results of testing in order to validate facts and circumstances, establishing the basis for audit testing conclusions and/or reportable issues.
Identifies and/or helps to assess potential for control enhancements or opportunities for management to improve the efficiency or effectiveness of operations.
Performs assigned SOX testing procedures.
Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Information Technology or related business or technical field or equivalent operational/technical experience.
2-4 years of experience in internal or external audit, business operations, technology, project management, or SOX, required.
General familiarity with banking and financial services regulatory requirements, such as FDIC, FRB, CFPB, FINRA, etc.
General knowledge of accounting and finance, risk assessment, internal control, and auditing concepts/methods; intermediate to proficient knowledge and skills in project management.
Strong written and verbal communications skills, willingness and ability to develop relationships with co-workers and audit clients, and effective time management skills.
Willing to learn, work as part of a team using remote collaboration tools, and comfortable sharing ideas with others.
Desire to obtain CISA, CPA, CIA or comparable audit, risk management, project management, or technical certification.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $61,070.00 - $81,428.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
