Overview
The VP of Demand Partnerships, Exchange, will lead the partnerships function across the buy side (DSPs) of InMobi’s largest and fastest growing revenue engine. In this role, you’ll be a thought partner to our SVP of Business Development and Partnerships, Chief Business Officer, and head of product for our Exchange. You will work closely with the leaders of all functions across the business (business development, business insights team, sales leaders, product management, engineering, product marketing, and corporate marketing) to thoroughly understand the needs of our demand-side customers, cultivate strong collaborative working relationships with partners, facilitate supply-demand coordination, and analyze and take action on trends in key performance metrics. You will serve as a key catalyst of the strategy for this business and ensure operational excellence across the team to ensure long-term, sustainable growth.
Reporting to you will be approximately 7 team members (3 enterprise demand partner managers and 3-4 SMB partner managers) to deliver against your mission. Most direct reports are based in the US and UK, while some team members are based in India. Please expect some travel on a quarterly basis.
The impact you’ll make
Platform strategy:
- Own the business and growth strategy for programmatic demand on the InMobi Exchange, one of the largest mobile app SSPs in the industry.
- As a core member of the platform leadership team, provide thought leadership to help drive the creation of the product roadmap, with an eye on immediate revenue growth as well as long term strategic value.
- Ensure our platform has the most efficient tools, systems, and processes to drive sustainable growth.
Lead the global demand partnerships team (buy side-DSPs)
- Direct team of ~7 partner managers spread across multiple geographies, responsible for career growth and mentorship.
- Drive the revenue growth and upsell strategy for buy-side partners, direct the team in executing the same.
- Understand client needs, key metrics, and the competitive landscape through market research and data driven insights to continuously improve the client experience and make recommendations for next horizon business opportunities.
O&O Monetization and interlocks
- Coordinate across internal teams and business units to facilitate programmatic monetization of InMobi's O&O properties (Glance), working closely with the respective O&O teams.
- Drive the creation of product-market fit for the O&O portfolio working with the Product Marketing team.
GTM and sales influence
- Partner with global sales teams and BD heads to influence hunting strategy of new clients on the buy side.
- Work closely with the Business Development/sales leadership in optimizing the sales process and monitoring the effectiveness of their efforts.
- Partner with marketing and sales to help drive GTM of new programmatic offerings to agencies and brands, and fuel the development of SPO partnerships.
The experience we need
- 10-15 years of experience leading global teams in ad tech, with significant exposure to mobile and programmatic ad tech ecosystem (buy and/or sell-side).
- BA/BS degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience. An MBA degree is definitely a plus.
- Ability to be the face of the business in front of executive leadership team and external stakeholders in 1:1 settings and industry settings.
- Experience partnering closely with cross-functional leadership.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking skills.
- Strong analytical skills, facility with revenue funnel metrics, and well-honed pattern recognition to quickly identify anomalous trends.
- Ability to work in a team and cross functionally across time zones.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders across regions.
- Very strong people management and mentorship skills - a track record of having shaped new leaders.

The base salary (fixed) pay range for this role would range from $213,150 USD to $289,275 USD (min to max of base salary pay range). This salary range is applicable for our offices located in California and New York. In addition, an InMobian may also receive variable pay in the form of annual variable bonus or quarterly variable bonus/sales incentive, as deemed per policy, in addition to fixed salary compensation.
*Our ranges may vary based on final location/region/or fully remote roles in accordance to the geographical differentiation in pay scales in the country.
In addition to cash compensation, based on the position, an InMobian can receive equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units.
