Position Summary:
The Rehab Technician works both collaboratively with the therapist and independently carries out specific patient-related activities to assist in patients' rehabilitation while hospitalized. In accordance with the maintenance schedule, cleans and maintains department supplies and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience as either a Patient Care Tech, CNA, Medical Assistant or similar or enrolled in a healthcare related education program.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate with all members of the healthcare team
- Able to work both independently and with a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with a broad range of patients
- Able to motivate patients to participate in their care plan
- Able to follow instructions well
- Organizational skills
- Experience with electronic health records
- Experience with safe patient handling techniques and equipment
