Position Summary:
Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who will provide security services to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, visitors and property .
Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
Assists in facilitating planned drills and simulations.
Conducts designated safety/security rounds.
Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires
flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of security coverage to the patients, staff and visitors of Sovah Health Danville.
Certifications:
Healthcare Provider (BLS) American Heart Association (AHA) required within 60 days from date of hire. Handle with Care Training required within 30 days of hire. Successful complete of handcuff training is required within 60 days of hire.
Licenses:
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
