Position Summary
Sovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who is responsible for providing day-to-day support and oversight for Danville and Martinsville campuses for planning and forecasting to assist decision makers at the local site. This individual participates in executing the financial strategy for day-to-day site functions.
Provides supervision to local Finance employees, and oversees financial operations of local sites.
Processes, analyzes, evaluates and validates financial reporting, including annual financial budget and periodic financial forecasts.
Reviews variance analysis against budget and forecast.
Performs ad hoc decision support and analysis including service line/ encounter profitability reporting, balance sheet / P&L analysis, volume price analysis, and project profitability analysis.
Prepares relevant documents/reports for financial review meetings.
Approves non-recurring journal entries.
Manages continuous cost improvement and departmental opportunities.
Drives key performance indicators include budget vs. actual variance (forecasting accuracy), Accounting accuracy %, timeliness of close (month end, annual).
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management
.Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development and recruitment.
Determines and justifies needs for departmental purchases and monitors supply usage.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Coordinates with facility departments/administration teams to manage key revenue cycle performance expectations and challenges including: upfront collections protocols, capturing accurate information, timely registration and patient satisfaction, denial prevention, patient flow, unbilled, patient concerns.
Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field (required)
Required Skills
Mathematical Skills
Statistical Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical and algebraic concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and forecasting. Ability to apply and analyze concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Computer Skills
Technical Computer Skills Demonstrate use of intermediate computer operations (basic programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and intermediate software packages.
Communication

Minimum Work Experience
5-8 years of experience in Accounting and/or financial analysis
2 years of supervisory/leadership experience
