MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST MT/MLS/MLT
Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Medical Technologist to join the Bridgton Hospital Pathology team!
This is a per diem position, a great opportunity for a Medical Technologist looking for a flexible schedule!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform routine and complex procedures in blood bank, chemistry, hematology, serology, microbiology, urinalysis, and phlebotomy.
- Obtain and receive specimens, perform clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understand method principles, perform quality control, perform preventative maintenance, and interpret results as to accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits.
- Work independently, organize work to meet established deadlines, record all data obtained, and maintain job competence.
- Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory procedures according to established standards and procedures, using proper technique and equipment to assure biological and physical safety and accuracy.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- Certification as a Medical Technologist MT/MLS/MLT/CLT by ASCP or equivalent, required within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent computer and interpersonal skills.
