Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Speech Therapist to join the Bridgton Hospital Therapy Services team!

The Opportunity:

Bridgton Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist for a full-time opportunity on our Speech Therapy team!

This position makes a direct positive impact on Maine's lake region community by providing one-on-one Speech Therapy services to patients of all ages. What You’ll Do

Diagnose speech/language or swallowing disorders/delays.
Provide intervention/consultations for patients who demonstrate disorders/delays in speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing.
Provide treatment and instruction to patients according to acceptable principles and practices of Speech/Language Therapy.
Follow acceptable principles/practices of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
Provide care to patients in the acute and outpatient settings.
Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team for the provision of comprehensive patient care.
Consistent with training and competency review, provide care to inpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Maintain training and competency as applicable in regulatory requirements such as JCAHO (if applicable), and state and federal regulations and standards.
Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to assistants, aides, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Position

Current Maine Licensure in Speech Pathology.
Obtain or eligible for Clinical Competence Certificate through the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
Current BCLS certification.
