The Opportunity:
Bridgton Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist for a full-time opportunity on our Speech Therapy team!
This position makes a direct positive impact on Maine's lake region community by providing one-on-one Speech Therapy services to patients of all ages. What You’ll Do
- Diagnose speech/language or swallowing disorders/delays.
- Provide intervention/consultations for patients who demonstrate disorders/delays in speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing.
- Provide treatment and instruction to patients according to acceptable principles and practices of Speech/Language Therapy.
- Follow acceptable principles/practices of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
- Provide care to patients in the acute and outpatient settings.
- Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
- Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team for the provision of comprehensive patient care.
- Consistent with training and competency review, provide care to inpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Maintain training and competency as applicable in regulatory requirements such as JCAHO (if applicable), and state and federal regulations and standards.
- Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to assistants, aides, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications for the Position
- Current Maine Licensure in Speech Pathology.
- Obtain or eligible for Clinical Competence Certificate through the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
- Current BCLS certification.
