Team Leader - Biochemistry Release & Stability

Full-time

The Team Leader has an overall responsibility for providing technical leadership, laboratory/project organization and scheduling for assigned staff, meeting project timelines, and performing a dual role by working “hands-on” in the laboratory while functioning as a supervisor.

Responsibilities include:

Management of day-to-day laboratory activities, identifying training needs, mentoring staff, and providing technical laboratory oversight.
Incorporating outsourced analyses into CoAs and reports, and shipping samples/materials as dictated by study protocols or clients.
Collaborating to complete investigations, identifying root causes, and developing corrective action plans.
Inputting data into Eurofins LIMS for reporting to clients and addressing data review comments.
Supervisory functions in hiring, discipline, and retention, monitoring employee performance.
Managing resources necessary to complete projects according to Eurofins and client needs.
Guiding multiple projects through workflow, ensuring ownership of quality issues.
Providing training for staff, ensuring high quality, efficient, and timely project completion.
Maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
Communicating effectively with clients and Eurofins staff.
Evaluating project time and material estimates for completion according to guidelines.
Assisting marketing, sales, and business development in related areas.
Representing the group at selected conferences, meetings, and workshops.
Leading complex analyses in the laboratory.
Ensuring laboratory area meets regulatory, resource, and safety requirements.
Performing other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related degree concentration.
5 years experience in a cGMP industry lab setting.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
