Team Leader - Biochemistry Release & Stability

The Team Leader has an overall responsibility for providing technical leadership, laboratory/project organization and scheduling for assigned staff, meeting project timelines, and performing a dual role by working “hands-on” in the laboratory while functioning as a supervisor.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of day-to-day laboratory activities, identifying training needs, mentoring staff, and providing technical laboratory oversight.
- Incorporating outsourced analyses into CoAs and reports, and shipping samples/materials as dictated by study protocols or clients.
- Collaborating to complete investigations, identifying root causes, and developing corrective action plans.
- Inputting data into Eurofins LIMS for reporting to clients and addressing data review comments.
- Supervisory functions in hiring, discipline, and retention, monitoring employee performance.
- Managing resources necessary to complete projects according to Eurofins and client needs.
- Guiding multiple projects through workflow, ensuring ownership of quality issues.
- Providing training for staff, ensuring high quality, efficient, and timely project completion.
- Maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicating effectively with clients and Eurofins staff.
- Evaluating project time and material estimates for completion according to guidelines.
- Assisting marketing, sales, and business development in related areas.
- Representing the group at selected conferences, meetings, and workshops.
- Leading complex analyses in the laboratory.
- Ensuring laboratory area meets regulatory, resource, and safety requirements.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related degree concentration.
- 5 years experience in a cGMP industry lab setting.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
