The Team Leader has an overall responsibility for providing technical leadership, laboratory/project organization, and scheduling for assigned staff. Responsible for meeting project timelines, this role performs a dual function by working “hands-on” in the laboratory and overseeing more complex experimentation and training while functioning as a supervisor.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of the day-to-day laboratory activities, identifying training needs, and mentoring staff members.
- Providing technical laboratory oversight and serving as a technical resource for the division and clients.
- Incorporating outsourced analyses into CoAs and reports, and shipping samples/materials as dictated by a study protocol and/or the client.
- Collaborating to complete investigations and meet investigation timelines, identifying root causes, and developing corrective action plans.
- Inputting data into Eurofins LIMS for reporting to clients and addressing data review comments.
- Providing staff supervisory functions in hiring, discipline, and retention, monitoring employee performance.
- Managing resources necessary to complete projects and studies according to Eurofins and client needs.
- Guiding multiple projects through workflow while ensuring quality issues and goals are met.
- Arranging appropriate training for staff to ensure high quality and timely project completion.
- Maintaining organizational policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Serving as a leader and mentor to assigned staff, maintaining open communication.
- Evaluating project time and material estimates to ensure completion according to guidelines.
- Assisting marketing, sales, and business development relating to area of responsibility.
- Working collaboratively with management to respond to requests for proposals.
- Representing the group at selected conferences and workshops.
- Leading complex analyses in the laboratory as needed.
- Ensuring laboratory area meets regulatory, resource, and safety requirements.
- Performing other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related degree concentration.
- 5 years experience in a cGMP industry lab setting.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
