We are situated in a vibrant community known as a Desert Oasis in the heart of the Columbia Basin in Central Washington, offering a sunny climate with over 330 days of sunshine annually, surrounded by natural beauty including a large freshwater lake. This full-time position requires a professional who is prepared to perform both radiological and computed tomography exams, ensuring diagnostic precision and high-quality patient care, in a dynamic hospital setting.
Compensation: $40.00 - $54.00 per hour plus shift differentials ($3hr evenings, $4hr nights, $2.25hr weekends), a full benefits package, $5K relocation assistance, and a $15K Sign On Bonus subject to a 2-year commitment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as required for Rad Tech I including a range of computed tomography (CT) examinations.
- Ensure the highest quality of diagnostic results while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and operational protocols.
- Provide patient care that is compassionate and knowledgeable, creating a comfortable and reassuring testing environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure effective patient management and workflow efficiency.
- Maintain and calibrate radiological equipment, ensuring functionality and immediate readiness.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement initiatives within the radiology department.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Must hold and maintain American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT(R) (CT) certification.
- Obtain Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification upon hire or shortly thereafter.
- Prior experience of at least two (2) years in a hospital radiology setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (HCP) level certification required within three (3) months of hire.
- Ability to operate complex radiology equipment and perform precise diagnostic procedures.
- Strong technical and documentation skills, with precise attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications related to radiology or computed tomography are highly preferred.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a healthcare facility that serves a large community.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in assessing complex clinical situations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives in patient safety or quality improvement within radiographic services.
- Experience in training or mentoring junior staff or radiology technology students.
