CT Technologist
Join our state-of-the-art medical center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, as a CT Technologist, where advanced technology and dedicated patient care meet. Compensation: $38.00 - $54.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnosis.
- Follow precise instructions from medical staff on patient positioning to ensure accurate imaging and adherence to safety procedures.
- Administer contrast materials orally or intravenously as per physician’s directive before procedures.
- Monitor patients throughout the scanning process, ensuring their comfort and safety while maintaining professional communication and care.
- Analyze the images to check for quality and coverage of the area diagnosed and communicate findings to the relevant medical personnel.
- Maintain records of imaging and tests, ensuring confidentiality and organized data retention.
- Ensure the operational readiness and maintenance of CT equipment, addressing any technical issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Provide thoughtful patient care that aligns with the facility's standards, enhancing patient experience and satisfaction.
- Engage in continuous education to keep up-to-date with technological and health care advancements in the field of radiologic technology.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to discuss health pilot plans and patient management strategies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Certified and registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the ARRT with CT designation.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with CT imaging in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Proven ability to operate advanced CT imaging equipment effectively.
- Exceptional patient communication and care skills.
- Availability to work scheduled shifts during the contract period, including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in high-volume medical centers or emergency room settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Additional certifications in other imaging modalities or special procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new and dynamic situations.
- Prior experience in a travel healthcare position welcoming, but not necessary.
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of modern CT technology and software for diagnostic imaging.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret imaging data and formulate preliminary reports.
- Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to CT imaging.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
