Position Summary:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, adhering to professional nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assess patient needs, develop, and implement individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor and document patient progress, including vital signs, symptoms, and changes in medical conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and provide continuity of care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to emergency situations and perform life-saving interventions promptly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records of patients' health history, treatment plans, and progress.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Stay current with advances in nursing practices and attend training programs and continuing education to enhance professional development.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current RN license in the state of Florida.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Home Health experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to make timely and appropriate decisions in emergencies or complex situations.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to provide comprehensive care to diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and computer literacy.
