Position Summary:
• Evaluate and diagnose patients with communication disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with realistic goals and objectives.
• Implement therapy interventions to improve speech and language deficits.
• Evaluate feeding and swallowing abilities, and develop feeding and swallowing treatment plans.
• Provide guidance and training to caregivers and family members.
• Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for each patient.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings when necessary.
• Adhere to privacy and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Active and unrestricted SLP license in the state of Florida.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or Florida licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an SLP.
• Experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
• Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and other insurance requirements.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must have reliable transportation.
