Sarasota Memorial’s 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility is a hospital-based intensive rehab dedicated to patients recovering from multi-trauma, stroke, neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and brain injury; spinal cord injury, orthopedic, oncology, and other complex cardiac and medical diagnoses. We are the only hospital-based rehab facility in Sarasota County capable of providing emergency access to important hospital services and healthcare specialists. Our program offers an intensive, coordinated, interdisciplinary rehabilitative approach designed to optimize each patient’s potential for recovery and return home through our medical management, state of the art technology and rehabilitative techniques, as well as coordination of care for discharge and beyond. We are CARF accredited as well as a CARF certified Stroke Specialty Program provider.
The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing purposeful practice of activities or interventions to achieve functional outcomes, maximizing the independence and maintenance of health of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a cognitive impairment, a psychosocial dysfunction, a mental illness, a developmental or a learning disability, or an adverse environmental condition. The Physical Therapist also assumes the responsibility for assessing the patient, identifying the level of acuity of illness, planning the patient's treatment program, and implementing and directing the program.
The hourly rate for this position is our PRN rate of $51.00 hourly.
Preferred QualificationsPrefer Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience.
