Position Summary
The Credit Analyst will conduct thorough credit analysis for a variety of customers and loan types, preparing written credit presentations and annual reviews. This role includes collaboration with lenders to complete loan files, active participation in loan committees, and monitoring high-risk relationships. The Credit Analyst is also responsible for quarterly reporting, covenant compliance tracking, and supporting loan committee operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Analysis & Reporting: Collaborate with lenders on credit presentations, annual reviews, and correspondence for loan committees, including comprehensive financial performance analysis and risk assessment. Identify and resolve areas of concern independently and attend client meetings as needed.
- Loan Monitoring: Track monthly borrowing bases, assess formula compliance, and update internal systems. Restrict borrower availability as warranted, notifying lenders.
- Committee Participation: Participate actively in loan committees, providing insights and resolving any outstanding questions.
- Quarterly High-Risk Reports: Prepare and review reports on higher-risk loan relationships, analyzing borrower repayment capacity, collateral valuation, and risk rating. Track and assess action plans for each relationship.
- Administrative Support: Assist with loan committee minutes, pipeline tracking, and other reporting as needed.
Education & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; or an Associate degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Credit Analysis preferred; experience in banking, accounting, or finance will also be considered.
Skills: Professional communication, high responsiveness, strong organizational and analytical skills, high computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to maintain confidentiality and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
- Normal office environment
- After 90 days of employment, up to 2 days per week of remote work allowed, depending on experience and performance.
