Job Description
The Safety / EH&S Compliance Specialist is responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with all company environmental, health, and safety policies as well as OSHA and other local, state, and federal employment statutes. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of job site occupational safety, safe tool operations, and driver’s safety policies. They will assist with defining safety compliance standards, report on non-conformances, provide data analysis of each location’s compliance and safety records, and conduct training, monitoring and observations in the field on safety related matters.
This is a remote position and only candidates residing in California will be considered for this position. The ideal candidate will live near one of our offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Francisco.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform virtual training, inspections and coaching on safety standards, proper usage of power/hand tools and equipment, and other installer job site safety procedures.
- Coach and partner with front-line team leaders to correct non-compliances and establish processes to ensure compliance in the future.
- Conduct and/or participate in reviews of practices and records to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations (this includes shop safety audits, virtual and onsite observations, and inspections at company-owned locations).
- Assist with completion of key EH&S metrics and provide data analysis by location for key safety parameters (TIR, Near-Misses, Types/Cost of Insurance Claims, Driver’s Safety Metrics, Onsite Installer Safety Observations).
- Driver safety and auto claims - monitor background check systems (SAMBA) to ensure all drivers are licensed and identify high risk drivers and develop improvement/action plans.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date on all EH&S regulations and standards set by local, state, and federal government agencies.
- Provide guidance and assist in hazard identification, mitigation, documentation, and resolution.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must reside in California.
- 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in a safety or environmental support role.
- Degree in Safety, Engineering or related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
- Understanding and knowledge of Cal-OSHA and other federal and state occupational laws.
- Knowledge of auditing and supporting locations virtually.
- Experience with data analytics and data reporting tools.
- Understanding of Corporate processes and how to document, train and continuously improve processes.
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
