SailPoint's accounting and finance team plays a crucial role in providing support, guidance and collaboration across all organizations within the company to aid in SailPoint's mission to continue to remain an innovative presence in the cybersecurity world.
Our accounting team is looking for a Reporting and Technical Accounting Senior Manager to own the preparation of internal and external financial reporting for SailPoint Technologies. This is a highly visible position within the business, that will give you hands-on experience across quarterly and annual reporting processes, especially footnotes and disclosures for all financial reports. We are looking for a highly motivated, eager to learn individual who can help streamline and improve our processes as we grow and scale. This position will report to the Reporting and Technical Accounting Director.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare quarterly and annual reporting documents.
- Prepare footnote support schedules, tie-out support for financial statements and disclosure checklists.
- Manage equity for the company within Shareworks.
- Assist with research and preparation of technical accounting memos.
- Collaborate with the general accounting team to prepare corporate financial reporting for internal analysis and external financial statements.
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with external auditors to manage the financial quarterly review and annual audit process.
- Provide financial analysis including explanations of variances between actual and budget/prior period.
- Ensure internal controls over financial reporting, including disclosure controls and procedures, are adequate and operating effectively.
- Participate in monthly/quarterly financial close review meetings to ensure appropriate accounting of transactions and accurate external reporting.
- Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests as needed.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA required
- 8+ years of financial reporting experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Ability to research and apply accounting guidance
- Software industry experience preferred
- Ability to work closely with management
- Commitment to all reporting and audit deadlines
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills
Even Better if You Have…
- Both private and public company accounting and reporting experience
- Experience using Workiva, NetSuite, Shareworks, and E*Trade
- Private and Public equity accounting experience
- Acquisition accounting and reporting experience
- Previous Big 4 public accounting experience
