This entry-intermediate level role provides key accounting and analysis support for Neff sales finance activities.
YOU HAVE:
- Experience: 1-2 years of related experience.
- Education: 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Technical skills: Excellent technical skills in accounting, with strong systems aptitude and PC skills, specifically spreadsheets (Excel), database (Access), general ledger experience and financial reporting software. Preferred Oracle systems G/L experience and BI Technology (Tableau/Power BI). Preferred SAP BPC financial reporting software experience.
- Attention to detail: Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills required.
- Great communication skills: Ability to work effectively with all levels in the organization.
YOU WILL:
Month end and year end financial accounting close: Monthly accounting closes as it relates to journal entries for Neff product line as assigned. Establish appropriate reports for backup to month-end entries. Support creating balance sheet monthly reconciliations that will be reviewed by the Finance Manager. Prepare commission adjustments for sales reps.
Weekly metrics: Update and maintain monthly and weekly reports utilizing metrics and data. Run weekly reports needed for all assigned markets metrics within Neff. Dive into discrepancies within Jackets and Accessories while planning & forecasting files for each of the Jackets & Accessories markets.
Neff product line analysis: Work with product groups to make sure all sales and margins are accurately accounted for. Work with Marketing to make sure that pricing is set up and run margins analysis for the Grad Products lead analyst. Month-end analysis and weekly metrics performed for review by the Grad Products lead analyst. Prepare plan and forecast files for each of the Neff markets.
Other duties: Weekly sales journal entries as assigned. Prepare commissions adjustments for sales reps. Assist with pricing requests. Ad hoc reporting to support Neff finance group. Help support sales, marketing and operations questions. Advise management of expected outcomes and recommend ways to improve within product groups, specifically working with Marketing to ensure pricing set up & runs margins analysis for the Finance Manager. Develop EDW, BI, Incorta, & Access queries to support projects, month-end, weekly metrics, etc. Help with project implementations such as testing and verification. Participate in other finance projects as necessary.
Typical/expected % of overnight travel: Less than 5%.
