We are currently seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Hospice Nurse (RN) to join our well-respected Grundy Center office team. This is a Full Time (1.0 FTE) position, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Cedar Valley Hospice offers flexible work arrangements to work around the needs of your family! Four 10-hour days and adjusted work hours are available. This position requires an average of 1-2 weekends per year and 1-2 weeknights per month of on-call coverage. A holiday on-call rotation is also required.

Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing assessment of the physical, emotional, and mental statuses of patients/families.
- Provide direct nursing care in compliance with physician’s orders to assigned patients/families.
- Monitor patients for changes in condition and update medication list and plan of care to reflect changes.
- Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in developing and updating the patients’ plans of care.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current Iowa state RN license.
- Positive attitude and team player.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills with the ability to learn work-related software and have basic typing skills.
- Current Iowa driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- 2 years of recent experience as a nurse in a related field.
- 1 year of experience in hospice or home care nursing.
- Experience working in a team environment.
Physical/Other Requirements
- Ability to move 50lbs with or without accommodation.
- In an 8-hour day, employee may remain in a stationary position 1-5 hours and move about inside CVH site offices/locations, meeting spaces, patient residences, and healthcare facility locations 3-7 hours (or vice versa).
