Position Objective: Perform research requests through a variety of open-source and proprietary tools in support of our federal client as a Research Analyst.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use critical and analytic skills to investigate case information and prepare relevant information to author reports that are sent back to the requesting agency.
- Collaborate to work among a team to construct products that will be utilized by Federal agencies prior to bestowing a privilege such as employment, immigration benefit, or access to a secured facility.
- Support the needs of federal agencies who use analysis results to protect the United States (U.S.) from foreign and domestic threats to national security.
- Perform research to determine if records exist for the subject in question and search for possible alternate spellings and aliases.
- Use the client tracking and communication system to locate and access information in a variety of media, research documents that contain possible references, and discard all references not identifiable with the subject.
- Review and edit written documents generated by others, communicate, and work cooperatively among teams.
- Perform various administrative tasks as required to include creating written summaries, reports, and maintaining meticulous logs and records.
- Proficient computer skills, including the ability to navigate Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google Chrome; navigate multiple browser windows, and copy/paste to and from different applications.
Basic Qualifications:
- Top Secret security clearance required.
- Bachelor's Degree OR HS Diploma with three (3) or more years of hands-on experience performing administrative, analytical, and research functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience providing products and services similar to those outlined in above duties is desired.
- Able to utilize a variety of records systems and computer applications to include basic computer knowledge and navigation capabilities.
- Able to produce written summaries and reports in accordance with all applicable governing legislation, executive orders and FBI policy.
