Senior Accountant, Revenue

Catalent’s Bloomington location provides drug substance manufacturing, drug product manufacturing, and related pharmaceutical services. This award-winning facility helps customers accelerate biologic drug development programs and bring better treatments to patients.
The Senior Accountant Revenue’s primary responsibility is to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of multiple revenue streams. The position will also work closely with Commercial Operations and Supply Chain to ensure business continuity.
This is a full-time role working days; Monday – Friday. This role provides a work from home opportunity two days a week.
This role offers a sign on bonus of $5,000.

The Role
- Partner with the business to assist in the review of sales agreements and contracts to assess the revenue recognition impact.
- Experience with revenue recognition applying GAAP/ASC 606 principles.
- Ability to identify and understand performance obligations associated with revenue recognition.
- Ability to calculate and publish month-end revenue recognition with proper backup.
- Partner with corporate controlling and internal audit in the management of financial accounting policies and procedures related to revenue recognition and internal controls for the Bloomington site.
- Review current revenue recognition processes/procedures and implement process improvements to improve efficiency and timeliness of the close and reporting.
- Direct ownership and accountability for the accuracy and integrity of the reported revenue.
- Complete required ASC 606 checklist for all new sales agreements/contracts.
- Complete assigned month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure accuracy of accounting records in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, and procedures.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages.
- Assist in month-end reporting and ad hoc analysis.
The Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5-7 years of relatable experience, preferably in a SOX compliant company.
- Advanced ability to gather, monitor, analyze, and document data.
- Advanced PC skills, including advanced spreadsheet functions (e.g., Pivot Tables, Lookups, Formulas).
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
