Job Description
This position is located out of our Bloomington, IN office. It is a primarily on-site role, 5 days/week, with occasional remote days available based on workload/team needs.
The salary range for this role is $47,000-$50,000.
The Indiana University Foundation is seeking an Events and Donor Relations Analyst in support of both the Events & Meeting Services and Donor Relations teams! These teams drive two essential and overarching functions of the IU Foundation: celebrating donors for their contributions toward Indiana University and the curation of special events that make those donors and friends of the University understand our deep appreciation for their generosity. As the Events and Donor Relations Analyst, you will oversee the collection, management, analysis, and interpretation of data for these teams, plan and execute both internal and external events and meetings, while assisting in identifying necessary marketing materials, determining event audiences, and assisting with communication approvals and distribution.
Essential Functions include:
- Providing strategic, data-oriented support of the Events & Meeting Services and Donor Relations Departments.
- Contributing to overall innovations and continuous improvement in data-oriented processes by improving data collection, analysis, and reporting, leading training, exploring new data solutions, and maintaining knowledge on industry trends.
- Providing functional support of Events and Meeting Services as host/planning consultant with donors, serving on committees, operating as liaison with vendors, and more.
- Assisting with coordination and events and meetings, as well as developing strategies for events.
- Note: The team may need occasional assistance on nights or weekends (Peak time of year: 5 early mornings or late nights per month). You will be given notable advance notice for times when assistance is needed.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Events, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Data Analytics, IT or related fields required.
- 3 years of experience in data management, events, Information Systems, or related field required.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, data analysis tools, and reporting software (with experience in Workfront preferred).
- Combination of education/career experience may be considered.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and work with IUF constituents at all levels (University administration, donors, faculty, etc.).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Adaptability in the face of fast-paced change.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Interpersonal skills and judgment suitable for exercising appropriate discretion.
- Good judgment in the handling of confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to use current computer technology, such as Windows, Word, Excel, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and an elevated level of accuracy in data-driven work.
- Ability to manage multiple competing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
Additional Information:
Moderate physical demands. Extended periods of sitting or standing in front of a computer may occur. Ability to occasionally pull and lift 40 pounds.
