One of our major Oil and Gas clients is seeking a Business Analyst to work on a 3-month W2 contract in Midland, TX.
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
- Solves organizational problems by analyzing business requirements, documenting processes and designing solutions.
- Conducts interviews with key project stakeholders and documents and presents the results.
- Recommends process improvements and alternative solutions.
- Assists business users, project managers and leadership in optimizing the scope, benefits and risks of proposed projects.
- Facilitates change management efforts associated with project. May write and maintain user documentation.
- Position will receive direction and support. Minimal work direction needed, highly skilled and knowledgeable to the position.
- Business Analyst on Expert Level, could be described also as Business Analyst Professional, he or she might be taking care of complex scoping issues, perform project estimation, make recommendation for requirements approach, understand and manage principles of business strategies, etc.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requirements gathering, Visio, strong communication and presentation skills, process mapping, MS Office.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
RELATED EXPERIENCE:
- 3 to 8 years production experience.
- Oil/gas experience required.
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
- Strong technical skills required for analysis, interpretation and applying information.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills to include MS Office Suite of products, multiple spreadsheet applications and ProCount, Carte, JOYN, eVIN systems along with government agency systems, NM and TX.
- Provide technical support of a project related to Prior Period Adjustments in the state of NM.
- Perform analysis and make corrections on incorrect data for reporting purposes.
- Setup well, completions, meters, tanks, equipment in ProCount.
- Verify allocated data completeness, troubleshoot issues identified in reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Preparation and submission of oil and gas production reports for state and federal reporting in NM and TX.
Open to remote work depending on the candidate's experience.
