A Day in the Life
In this business-critical role, you will be a part of the Neuromodulation Finance team, responsible for supporting all financial aspects of strategic market development, product development, and released product management. The Brain Modulation business competes in a dynamic market supporting patients with Deep Brain Stimulation therapy and MRI-guided laser ablation technology in thermal ablation for cranial neurosurgery.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Prepare comprehensive financial analysis and presentations for leadership and help interpret financial results for both finance and business teams. Develop and monitor AOP, forecasts, and latest best estimates, ensuring accurate financial projections.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to guide strategic decision-making and provide recommendations and influence the future direction of Brain Modulation.
- Investigate financial results and assist in the production of key month-end close activities.
- Support Brain Modulation Core Teams, Upstream Marketing, project accounting processes, system, and reporting.
- Attend and support certain IBP and PRC meetings and facilitate strategic discussions on key decisions/gaps in the portfolio.
- Communicate effectively, delivering clear presentations including effectively influencing up, down, and across the organization to implement enterprise goals and initiatives.
- Partner with marketing and therapy director to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Lead and evaluate analysis to draw conclusions and develop insightful recommendations and solutions; design deliverable content for executive level presentations.
- Lead or support key ad-hoc projects, including key financial lead on multi-function projects that require a high level of financial and business acumen.
- AdHoc analysis and business partner support.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Solid accounting/finance knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to identify key trends and drivers and the proven experience translating financial data into meaningful, concise information.
- Strong consultative skills and ability to articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights to business leaders and internal customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with Hyperion, CMR, SAP, Anaplan.
Nice to Have:
- CPA or MBA in relevant areas.
- Medical device or healthcare industry experience.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $103,200.00 - $154,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
