CIMA+ is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support its growth objectives. This role will be responsible for providing coaching to the CIMA+ leaders and management team and providing support for employees in the Western Canada region in connection with all files related to the HR function. Reporting to the Lead HR Manager and working within a dynamic HR team made up of professionals with diverse expertise, this person will offer a positive experience in each of their actions, contributing in a concrete way to the success of CIMA+ as a whole. Based in our Vancouver office, this Hybrid role will support 9 offices across Western Canada.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act as partner and coach for the management team with respect to all aspects of human resources management, particularly including the following:
- Employee engagement and retention
- Managing performance and performance gaps
- Compensation management
- Communication
- Training and development
- Talent acquisition
- Managing internal processes and policies
- Develop a solid business relationship with both managers and employees in order to maximize trust, engagement, and retention.
- Understand the stakes and challenges of HR management in Western Canada, and closely work with all HR team members to implement customized and agile solutions.
- Identify risks and opportunities for improvement related to human resources management while supporting managers to deal with it responsibly and strategically, by supporting the application and development of their leadership.
- Understand the issues and challenges of assigned client groups and work closely with all members of the HR team to implement appropriate solutions.
- Represent the HR function and the business sector in various mandates and projects, and implement the resulting initiatives.
- Act as an agent of change within a context of rapid growth, in harmony with the values of CIMA+ and the organizational culture.
- Act as a resource person with employees for questions relating to the HR function.
- Remain abreast of current and applicable laws and regulations, best practices, and trends in the area of human resources management.
- Participate jointly with the talent acquisition team in the selection and integration processes for new employees.
- Play an integral role in employee engagement initiatives with assigned client groups.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a HR Generalist or Business Partner role.
- Understanding of Western Canada employment laws.
- Have recognized experience in business partnerships and be strongly oriented towards customer service.
- Possess a strong capacity for autonomy.
- Demonstrate leadership and the ability to influence through an excellent sense of judgment.
- Demonstrate team spirit and collaboration.
- Possess coaching and communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop the practice through creativity and a spirit of innovation.
- Ability to thrive within a changing environment.
- Member of a professional order is an asset.
- Knowledge of the professional services and consulting engineering sector is an asset.
The expected salary for this position is from $75,000 to $95,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills, and internal equity. The position or associated salary could vary depending on the profile of the candidate.
