Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Technologist to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during the imaging process. This role is crucial in providing accurate diagnostic evaluations that assist in patient care within a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment.
Duties
- Perform CT scans on patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices in medical imaging.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations.
- Maintain equipment functionality by conducting regular checks, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs as necessary.
- Ensure patient history and relevant clinical information are accurately documented prior to imaging procedures.
- Educate patients about the CT scanning process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Adhere to infection control policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Participate in continuous education and training programs to stay current with advancements in CT technology and medical imaging techniques.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, particularly as it relates to medical imaging.
- Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with PET scans, nuclear medicine, and emergency room (ER) protocols is advantageous.
- Proven ability to perform diagnostic evaluations with precision and care.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $48.97 per hour
