We are seeking a Veterinarian to provide technical leadership and act as a technical resource. Their focus will include experimental design, all veterinary aspects of research protocol execution, veterinary diagnostics, treatment, gross pathology, and emergency veterinary care.
The ideal candidate has experience working in an Animal Welfare-regulated environment as well as in the Animal Health industry with preclinical and clinical model understanding. They are familiar with USDA regulations, Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, Guide for the Care and Use of Agricultural Animals in Research and Teaching, and common animal health-related certification for both personnel and programs. Additionally, they are comfortable with leading indirectly through influence and experience with the third-party AW accreditation process for an animal research facility.
Qualifications
- DVM, current license to practice in the US
- Strong field and laboratory clinical skills
