NEUROPSYCHOLOGY ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR

The UAB Department of Neurology seeks to hire a Neuropsychology Assessment Coordinator for the UAB Neuropsychology Clinic. The position is responsible for administering, scoring, and processing neuropsychological assessments/test batteries for patients as well as general clinic support related to the Neuropsychology Clinic operation.
Responsibilities
- Administer, score, and compile results of clinical neuropsychological test batteries and record behavioral observations independently or under minimal supervision to determine surgical intervention candidacy for medical diagnoses.
- Participate in pre-surgical procedures as part of a multi-disciplinary assessment team.
- Assist in extracting relevant medical information from patient charts or obtain medical history from patients and their caregivers.
- Maintain research and/or clinical databases and historical assessment records.
- Assist with clinical duties including scheduling, patient correspondence, chart preparation, and telemedicine intake.
- Respond to and evaluate the unique needs of cognitively-impaired patients.
- Act in a caring and courteous manner towards all patients and caregivers.
- May provide training or mentorship to others.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics
- Neuropsychology assessment experience preferred.
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Psychology strongly preferred.
Salary Range
$41,175 - $66,915
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- Neuropsychological diagnostic assessment training or experience preferred.
