The University of California, Davis and UC Davis Health seek a collaborative, dynamic, and strategic research leader to serve as the next Associate Dean for Research (ADR) of the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Nursing, the ADR will provide leadership, vision, and integrity in the shaping of the School of Nursing research policy and training. They will play an integral part in developing the School’s research mission, fostering collaborative relationships and research initiatives across UC Davis Health, the UC Davis Office of Research, and peers in the other UC Davis colleges and schools.

The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, the School of Medicine, the UC Davis Medical Center, and the UC Davis Medical Group comprise UC Davis Health.

The incoming ADR will collaboratively create and implement an ambitious research vision for the School's future, playing a key role in shaping and supporting the School's overall mission and goals as a member of the Dean's leadership team. The ideal candidate will possess a background in nursing or other health sciences and demonstrate a proven track record of securing funded research. They should have expertise in promoting and supporting research through diverse funding mechanisms and substantial experience in fostering interdisciplinary collaborations. Additionally, they will excel in mentoring and developing faculty and possess robust knowledge of research administration.
