Summary of Job Duties: The Neuropsychology Technician in the Psychiatric Research Institute Walker Family Clinic works under general supervision and is responsible for collecting patient information, maintaining patient information, conducting tests and/or procedures that the employee is certified to administer. The Neuropsychology Technician will administer and score neuropsychological test batteries evaluating cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional status in order to assist Neuropsychologists in diagnosis and treatment decisions. They will administer testing appropriately to determine localization of brain lesions, level of functional impairment, and other treatment decisions. They will provide technical support to Neuropsychologists on specialty teams and clinical research projects. They will work with Neuropsychology trainees, maintain databases, and ensure appropriate testing supplies.

Minimum Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S. degree in psychology or a related field. Must have completed the course work necessary to obtain and register as a Neuropsychological Technician with the Arkansas Psychology State Board.
Eligible for licensure as a Neuropsychology Technician.

Responsibilities:
Administers and scores cognitive, achievement, and behavioral or emotional tests and records observations of adult behavior under the supervision of the Neuropsychologist.
Trouble-shoots testing situations and administers tests developmentally appropriate for the adult.
Adapts test administration to the specific needs of each patient while staying within the standardized procedures and time set forth for each specific test.
Interprets data for Neuropsychologist to assess patient's needs, organization's capability to provide care or treatment, and the appropriate level of care.
Compiles written observations of patient behavior and enters test scores into medical records.
Reviews and ensures accuracy, availability and security of information.
Assists literary research, reviews charts, and completes data entry.
Completes other duties as required.
