As a Senior Accountant for Swope Health, you will be part of a team that supports the organization in meeting its financial and operational goals. The Senior Accountant will prepare profit and loss statements by department and communicate results to department managers and directors. You will perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure insurance receivables are properly recorded and accurate. Assist in contract and grant management including compliance and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform or review various month-end general ledger account reconciliations and bank account reconciliations.
- Perform grant related tasks as necessary for assigned grants, including pre-award, post-award, accounting and reporting responsibilities as needed.
- Serve as back-up for other accounting department team members as necessary, such as weekly Accounts Payable processing, monthly fixed asset processing and recording bi-weekly payroll journal entries.
- Assist as needed with preparing Dynamics GP financial statement reports for all associated companies, including ad hoc reports as requested.
- Assist in preparation of audit schedules for annual financial audit as assigned.
- Interface with all affiliate companies to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assist as needed with processing and issuing patient refunds.
- Develop, prepare and distribute department and program budgets and reports monthly.
- Position is hybrid after extensive training has been completed.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Successful Candidates will have:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the accounting field is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary.
- Grant accounting experience preferred.
