Job Summary and Qualifications:
Responsible for overall management of the day–to–day operation of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU and CVICU).
What you will do in this role:
- Performance and Quality Improvement, Assists with Policies and Procedures process, Chest Pain Service Line, Stroke service Line, Sepsis data collection, Staffing/Productivity, Program Development, and Nursing care for specific patient population.
- The Manager must work closely with staff, physicians, and other directors to ensure quality patient care.
- The Manager guides the staff in the implementation of the nursing process and directs the cost effective allocation of resources.
- Demonstrates a high level of clinical competence that creates an environment of clinical excellence resulting in improved individual and group clinical outcomes. Facilitates individualized, evidence-based, highly effective care to patients and families through coordination/collaboration of the entire healthcare team.
- Through role modeling, coaching and demonstration, fosters learning for the staff and promotes outcomes-oriented nursing practice.
Qualification:
- Associates Nursing Degree required; Bachelors preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a Critical Care arena, candidates must have CVICU experience.
- Florida RN licensure required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
