We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry. This role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including managing various accounts within the general ledger
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP
- Responsible for month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist in development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely completion
- Prepare financial reports and analyses on an ad hoc basis to support company projects and initiatives
- Participate in data and process improvement projects as needed
- Liaise and review accounting work performed by offshore Shared Services
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Treasury, FP&A and company business units
Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA license preferred
- 4+ years accounting experience
- Microsoft Office experience, with focus on Excel
- Knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Public accounting and Manufacturing experience preferred
- JD Edwards or other ERP experience preferred
