Job Overview
A leading professional services firm is looking for a Client Receivables Manager to support its team across various U.S. locations, including Clayton, Denver, Kansas City, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Nashville, and New York. The position focuses on managing work-in-progress (WIP) and accounts receivable (AR), ensuring timely payments, resolving collection challenges, and minimizing financial risks by collaborating closely with clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the collection of outstanding receivables, with an emphasis on overdue or high-risk accounts.
- Coordinate with clients and internal billing teams to monitor WIP/AR progress and resolve payment issues.
- Regularly update attorneys and stakeholders on client account statuses.
- Help forecast cash flow and meet monthly revenue goals.
- Deliver excellent service to clients and colleagues while exercising sound judgment in daily tasks.
- Oversee high volumes of accounts efficiently, addressing billing issues promptly with the appropriate teams.
- Identify trends, assess risks, and develop strategies to prevent overdue payments.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies to optimize AR turnover and reduce write-offs.
- Improve internal workflows to minimize time demands on team members while maintaining proper controls.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional departments.
- Collaborate with leadership to address at-risk accounts and implement quick solutions.
- Work with the credit team to assess financial risks associated with new clients.
- Coordinate with the cash applications team to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 5+ years of experience in legal or business collections.
- Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Comfortable working under time constraints and shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated work ethic with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Thomson Reuters 3E is a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
